Once again, Jennifer Gonzalez from Cult of Pedagogy, saves the day with another one of her very helpful tools but this time it is a video rather than a podcast or blog. In the video she shows how to make a GoAnimate video and how it can be a useful tool in the classroom. Gonzalez lists a variety of reasons this tool is amazing! Some main points would be that is is inexpensive, it is simple enough for students to use, and it allows them to express themselves in a way that they would not be able to through a PowerPoint or paper. Gonzalez also has a blog post that goes further into detail about how GoAnimate can improve your class room which you can find here.

This year, I learned a lot about myself. Including that I was technologically comfortable. Meaning, even though I was born in a time where I grew up surrounded by technology and I can perform tasks that for some older than me may find difficult, I still did not know how to use the technology that is available to me to its full advantage. Since it is very obvious that technology is going nowhere, it was imperative that I found tools to expand my technology network so that younger generations can go above and beyond what I am able to do today. One of my absolute favorites has been Podcasts. Podcasts are an absolutely wonderful tool that technology has made accessible. Especially with new innovations like Bluetooth headphones and satellite radios in our cars. You can be learning on the go, literally! You can find "8 Great Educational Podcasts for Kids" here.
